What / Where I Ate in Los Angeles, California, U.S.A. - JOHNNY ROCKETS

It was almost an hour past lunch time when we stepped on the grounds of Hollywood Boulevard  and so we immediately head inside The Hollywood and Highland Center to search for a restaurant. And we ended up at JOHNNY ROCKETS at the level 3 of shopping center. Scanning over the menu, the foods are indeed a showcase of American fast food cuisine.  Burgers, burgers and more burgers... While waiting for our foods to be served, the waiter who was in-charge for us, handed over this paper plate then he splatted on some ketchup forming this happy smiley!  It was a delightful experience since from anywhere else I have dined in, this was indeed a fun and memorable first time. So my burger has finally arrived, though unfortunately I forgot to take note of how it was called.   Size of the burger enough for my appetite and the taste of grilled patty with generous layers of greens and tomatoes and onions was delicious. My choice of refreshmen...

Something Filipino in San Bruno, California, U.S.A. - TASTEBUDS

A Filipino, where ever he/she may be, will always have an appetite for Filipino cuisine.  Even, when we were in the United States of America, after a week in their country, our craving for something Filipino was ultimately satisfied in San Bruno, California! Big thanks to the sister-in-law of one of our companions from work, who invited us to have dinner at TASTEBUDS ! It was I think an hour drive, or a little more, from the place where we stayed in San Francisco.  But it was way too worth the drive. We were 8 diners in this Filipino restaurant and despite the number of dishes that were ordered, our host for the dinner still went home some leftovers! So here's a round up of those sumptuous dishes from TASTEBUDS !  The foods undeniably enchanted our taste buds that night! Soup: BEEF NILAGA Food Rating (Serving Size ) = 8  of 10 Food Rating ( Taste)  = 9  of 10 I do always love this simple yet sumptuous recipe for a beef, plus ...

Food Review: Another KINDER BUENO Story

Kinder Bueno Milk Chocolate Coated Wafer is one of my favorites go-to snacks (if available in our fridge!) I have already posted a Kinder Bueno Chocolate Coated Wafer food review previously, you can see it HERE .  However, it does not include the WHITE  variant.   The original MILK CHOCOLATE variant.  The WHITE variant which looks totally different from the other two variants.  I thought there were only two variants of this brand of coated wafer: original / milk chocolate and dark chocolate, so I made a food review of them last year, see HERE .   But when I arrived in Doha, Qatar, I discovered that there is a white version too and I needed to update my food review on Kinder Bueno wafers.  More photos... Oh, I just love capturing my favorites! The reasons why I really love munching these yummies are: (1) the chocolate coatings which gives you that  real, pure, exquisite chocolate flavor;  and...

First Dine-In Fast Food Experience in Doha, Qatar at SBARRO

SBARRO is a familiar pizza and pasta chain eatery as it is also available in the Philippines.  I am not honestly a fan of SBARRO but have tried some of their pizza and pasta back in SM City Cebu. This specific Italian chain of pizzeria at this particular branch is memorable to me since this is the very first eatery that we have dined outside of the house when I first arrived in Doha, Qatar early this year.  Hence, a blog post is a must. SBARRO SUCCESS STORY via the wikipedia... Sbarro, LLC  is a chain of  pizzeria  that specializes in  New York style pizza  by the slice and other  Italian-American cuisine .   Sbarro was founded in 1956 by Gennaro and Carmela Sbarro. What / Where I Ate - Crazy Crab

Going crazy with crabs - and prawns too - at CRAZY CRAB ! The restaurant was not roomy and not well-lighted, but it was already peopled when we entered- mostly Koreans.  With that observation, it meant that the eating place was worth a try. The live crabs that were place inside a small aquarium near the entrance of the restaurant. The foods that we ordered as captured below: CRAB AND CORN SOUP   BAKED BUTTERED GARLIC PRAWN HOT AND SPICY CRAB I am basically allergic to foods rich in histamines and the number 1 food to avoid is crab.    Though I have eaten crabs before, which always gives me itch (even with small bites, and when I risked more, rashes, stomach pains and difficulty in breathing were experienced);  I always allow myself to take risks some times.  And that day when we entered Crazy Crab restaurant was one of those challenging days I had to face.   As foodie warriors, we need ...
