Bohol is another island in the Philippines where I frequent visiting since it is my parents' hometown.  And on our last visit there, see also HERE , I had the best chance to taste the yummy treats from different bread shops that are uniquely Bohol.  First stop, OUR DELI BREAD .   Our Deli Bread is a chain bakeshop that can only be found in Bohol.  There are several branches, strategically located in various urbanized municipalities in Bohol like Tubigon, Sagbayan, Valencia, Tagbilaran City and a lot more to mention.  I love how the bread shop daintily displayed their goodies.  Well-organized and clean.  Aside from buying the famous morning bread of the Philippines, we call Pandesal, we took home this cute Gingerbread and my favorite Yoyo bread.   My ratings for the gingerbread is 7 of 10, and for the Yoyo bread is 8 of 10.  Next stop is JM FANNY'S BAKESHOP located in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. f.y.i - Tag...

My parents were born and raised in Bohol.  Since the island is 45 minutes - 1 hour away, by fast craft ride, from Cebu City, there are usually unplanned visits to their hometown.  My forever food and travel buddy and I decided to tag along with our parents one Saturday in Bohol. This living room is my favorite part of our house in Bohol.  Windows are everywhere which allows natural light and fresh air to flow inside the house.  The neutral colors makes the room appears country and imparts a homey vibe. We were welcomed with fresh produce from the backyards of my aunts, who were our neighbors also in Bohol - extra large bananas and freshly-picked unripe  Indian  mangoes ! During our trip to Bohol last April, we have the chance to visit the province's only city, Tagbilaran City.  It is a one-hour travel ride from my parents' town if transporting with a private vehicle but via buses, it usually takes about 30 minutes more. Bohol is the home of beautiful beaches especially located on the island named Panglao, and which can be traveled around 20 minutes from Tagbilaran City.  Among the numerous resorts in Panglao there is this nature-inspired resort, one of its kind, the Bohol Bee Farm in Dao, Dauis Panglao Island.  This resort offers anything natural and organic even with the array of food choices in the menu of the resort's restaurant.
