Revisiting the Renovated LA VIE PARISIENNE in Cebu City, Philippines

LA VIE PARISIENNE has been serving gourmet pastries and one-of-its-kind French " feels " in the city of Cebu since 2014 (correct me if I am mistaken).  It was also my very first visit to this unique and "it" place to check out that year.   Rewind 2015, my first blog post about this deli bakery/cafe finally came out.  My photos that time were more of the alfresco dining areas and highlighting those igloo-inspired structures, you can see it  HERE . My third visit to LA VIE PARISIENNE  on January 2017, was a sheer delight.  I was so surprised of the total make-over inside the bakery/cafe.  I was mesmerized on that visit and I am very much excited now to show you the transformation they have made. Let my photos take you inside the rustic and elegant interior designing of the newly renovated cafe with "instagrammable" details that are worth posting and reposting on all your social media accounts.   I need not say much for this post. ...

What / Where I Ate in San Francisco, California, U.S.A. - PEOPLES CAFE

One of the places we visited on our second day in San Francisco was the popular  Haight-Ashbury district. It was almost lunch time when we arrived at this famous tourist destination in San Francisco and from among the array of cafes and bistros, we opted for PEOPLES CAFE. Peoples Cafe is a c ounter-serve cafe serving breakfast sandwiches, coffee, burgers & salads in a revamped space. I was missing eating Vietnamese noodles since before I left for the US trip, I was at the verge of my cravings for the sumptuous noodles at Phat Pho  restaurant in Cebu. Look at the price of the Pho noodles, way too expensive than the mouthwatering Bun Bo Hue noodles at Phat Pho! My Ratings: Cafe Concept = 10 of 10 Menu Options = 8 of 10  Food Serving Size = 9 of 10 Pho Noodles = 7 of 10 Overall Food Taste = 9 of 10 Cafe Lay-Out and Interior Designing = 8 of 10 Size of Cafe = 7 of 10 Counter Lay-Out = 8 of 10 Restaurant Lighting = 10 of 1...

What / Where I Ate in San Francisco, California, U.S.A. - BOUDIN BAKERY CAFE

They say when in San Francisco, a first-time tourist must not miss having a bite of the famous and original San Francisco sourdough at BOUDIN  Bakery Cafe! But first, let's get to know: What is a SOURDOUGH ? Upon stepping inside the bakery cafe, we were greeted with a melange of merchandise, food and non-food.  But the yummy treats on the bakery counter have initially caught my attention.  Aside from being hungry that time, I was wowed with the sight of everything-delicious pastries.   And to our surprise, they have this conveyor, installed on the ceiling that transported metallic baskets of bread across the entire cafe/bakery / souvenir shop. When in a new restaurant or cafe, ordering for food is not totally that arduous.  I guess I have said this in my other blog posts, that when dining first time in an eating establishment, it is a no-brainer to order for the BESTSELLER, the cream of the crop from the menu. This i...

Cafe Chronicles in Hong Kong: PACIFIC COFFEE

I did not miss the chance to taste coffee in Hong Kong.   My choice is always a dose of frappe with chocolate, either chips or flavor on it. My overall rating: coffee drink + ambiance + services + value for money = 8 of 10 (mostly for the coffee, the area was not spacious enough) Travel, Drink Coffee and Eat good food, everyday!
