I DRESS-UP AND EAT

Dining at Cafe Laguna, especially at their SM City Cebu branch has always been, most of the time, the family's unanimous choice for lunch whenever we visit the mall.  This dining experience was part of my 45-day vacation / foodie journey, during the third quarter of 2017, to my home city.  Since I was on "vacation" mode, the best way to rekindle with my favored restaurant was to check out and try what was new on the menu. And that time, we were fortunate that a new dish was out, and it was promoted right on our table. Hello, KANSI ! Fusion restaurants are common here in Doha, Qatar probably due to the fairly large number of expatriates than the locals.  The increasing figures of multicultural residents is good for any F&B businesses to establish a restaurant that can cater to not just one nationality but to at least two or more. KISH MISH is one of the many casual dining restaurants in the city, strategically located along Ibn Seena Street in Al Muntazah with a fusion cuisine concept.  It offers a delish miscellany of Indian and Filipino cuisines. A unique name for a dining establishment is always something to be curious about.   CHOOBI CHOOBI ? What does it mean? Who cares what it really means?   I Do!  I activated my research skills and headed on to the world wide web and gathered major facts about them from their official website.  And the number one question in my mind was directly answered by the first paragraph of their " About Us " page. "Choobi Choobi is a family-oriented casual dining restaurant. Despite its Korean sounding name, Choobi Choobi’s menu courses are mostly Filipino Comfort Food. Choobi Choobi is derived from a Fookien word which means “to enjoy” that’s how our tag line “Lingaw lingaw Kaon!” originated."
