First Dine Out Fast Food Experience in Doha, Qatar at SBARRO

SBARRO is a familiar pizza and pasta chain eatery as it is also available in the Philippines.  I am not honestly a fan of SBARRO but have tried some of their pizza and pasta back in SM City Cebu.

This specific Italian chain of pizzeria at this particular branch is memorable to me since this is the very first eatery that we have dined outside of the house when I first arrived in Doha, Qatar early this year.  Hence, a blog post is a must.

SBARRO SUCCESS STORY via the wikipedia...

Sbarro, LLC is a chain of pizzeria that specializes in New York style pizza by the slice and other Italian-American cuisine.  Sbarro was founded in 1956 by Gennaro and Carmela Sbarro. The couple and their three sons, Joseph, Mario, and Anthony immigrated to America from NaplesItaly. The same year, the Sbarro family opened their first salumeria (an Italian grocery store) at 1701 65th Street and 17th Avenue in BensonhurstBrooklyn, New York, which became popular for its fresh food and Italian fare.

And as they say, the rest is history.

My Ratings:
Fast-Food Chain Concept = 10 of 10
Menu Options = 7.5 of 10
Food Availability = 6 of 10
Food Serving Size = 9 of 10
Overall Food Taste = 8 of 10
 Lay-Out and Interior Designing = 7 of 10
Size of Fast Food Chain= 7 of 10
Fast Food Lighting = 6 of 10
(lighting was provided by the mall)
Ambiance = 4 of 10
(foods and tables were outside the mini kiosk and passersby are everywhere)
Services of Staff = 7 of 10
Money Value = 7.5 of 10

(mainly because pizza and pasta is always a good idea when hunger strikes and white steamed rice is nowhere available and food taste is worth appreciating too)

This particular branch of SBARRO is located at the ground floor ofAl Asmakh Mall Centrepoint، Jawaan Street، Doha, Qatar.

Unfortunately on our visit recently at the mall, the SBARRO branch has been closed.  And also regrettably, this location was the only branch of SBARRO in Qatar.  I hope they are just up for renovation, I did not see any signs though if fully terminated or for improvement.

Cafe Chronicles: SLT Cafe

A cafe inside a supermarket? A clever idea!

Yes, Sweet Little Things Cafe, more known as SLT Cafe has one of its branches situated inside a grocery store.  This particular branch of SLT Cafe is located at the Ground Floor, Fooda Saversmart, F. Cabahug Street, Mabolo, Cebu City.

And these were the goodies that we ordered:

Brownie Ala Mode  My rating: 8 of 10

Blue Berry Crumble Cupcake My rating: 6 of 10

Frost Coffee Mocha My rating: 7 of 10

My overall rating: food + ambiance + service + value for money = 6.5 of 10.
The sweets are okey (meaning, they tasted "just right" / "so-so")  but the ambiance is not as comfy compared to those typical cafes.
