I DRESS-UP AND EAT

When in Davao City, Philippines, me and my forever food and travel buddy have sort of vowed to only stay at  Legaspi Suites .  And so we did and we always will.  During our last visit in December 2016, a new cafe was serving the complimentary breakfast of the suites, which is situated on the ground floor near the left gate of the compound. Breakfast in Legaspi Suites was served at CAFE MARIUS from 6:00 - 10:00 in the morning. I found the cafe cute in the sense that it was appealing to the girl's heart through its consistently purple theme.  It looked like the dining area/kitchen of a dollhouse. For the complimentary breakfast, we were only allowed to choose from the "ALL DAY MEALS" section of the menu. On our fourth day in California, we went back again to Mickey-D's in Anaheim, which is situated a few blocks away from the Anaheim Convention Center, for our breakfast. Day 3 of the EXPO Though I have this stick-to-itivness attitude when it comes to liking foods in certain eateries, but that morning, I decided to try another kind (though still with Mexican taste) of breakfast meal - the McBURRITO Breakfast! I went for iced coffee since I badly needed a large dose of caffeine to keep me up and alert that day.  What I loved in this meal was the mixed berry yogurt!  My food rating = 9 of 10! For our breakfasts in the next remaining days of the expo, we decided to head over to a more affordable breakfast house as we needed to stretch on our budget for food.   McDONALD'S was our ultimate choice. DAY 2 of the Expo I was hugely fired up with the thought of having the chance to eat McDonald's from its home court.  Of course, almost everyone knows that McDonald's originated in the United States of America and that morning was the best chance for me to finally taste the real deal. By the way, have you seen The Founder movie released this year? It is a story about McDonald's, its origin and success through the years.  If you ask me, I have not seen the whole movie but have a number of sightings with the teaser  / promotional videos. They have indicated stations at the counter for order and pick-up which gives organization within the customers in queue. Travelling is such an amazing experience, most especially if the trip is outside of the country.  Last March of this year, I had the chance to travel, for the very first time to the United States of America. But, since we travelled with Cathay Pacific, it is but part of their route to always make a stop over in Hong Kong.  We had a lay-over of more than 12 hours.  And what better way to spend such free time is to step on to the soils of Hong Kong. An OVERNIGHT in Hong Kong is not complete without having to see and experience the bustling night life of the city. A new food haven discovery, though few months older now, is the PINK HEAVEN Bakeshop and Bistro in Talisay City, Cebu.  Frankly, I did not expect to find something like this in that city.  It was still morning time and we had an annual check-up for our dear car.  Queue was quite long and I was hungry, as usual.  We were at an advantage since there was a commercial strip which was a block away from where we have the car checked.  And there we discovered that heaven is also colored in pink. I highly favor the color pink and so upon seeing the signage, I was totally intrigued.  We opted this bistro over the familiar fast-food chain which ran adjacent.  The pink color was conspicuous. The eating tables and chairs were wooden and reminded me of grade school years. The place was engaging which made me more excited to scan through their menu. We had the chance to be out and about in the early hours in the morning to drive our dad to the airport.  It has been a sort of routine on almost every Monday dawn.  And part of that routine is a super early breakfast at any Jollibee branches in the metro, as Jollibee is my mom's favorite fast food and we certainly agree to her preference.
