Something Korean in Cebu City, Philippines - MR. PIZZA

Pizza is originally Italian, right?

But, did you know that Koreans are also known for making Pizza but with odd topping combinations!
See this blog HERE, to read on their experience with the pizzas at Mr. Pizza in South Korea.

Mr. PIZZA is best known for their all-time popular gourmet pizza.  They have been making hand-made pizza full-heartedly from start to finish... you can actually see these statements on their menu, second page.

From the array of new PIZZA combinations to choose from, we ended up ordering for MACHO GRANDE (pictured above) and VEGETARIAN (see below).

We ordered pasta too, the OVEN BAKED MEAT SPAGHETTI and POTATO WEDGES to munch in while waiting for the stars of the merienda (snacks) time, the pizza and the BINGSU!

Heard of BINGSU?  Have you eaten one?
BINGSU is popular Korean shaved ice dessert toppings that may include chopped fruit, condensed milk and fruit syrup, Without the red beans.  If it comes with the red beans, it will be called Patbingsu.

My primary reason of having our snacks at Mr. Pizza was not actually for the pizzas but for the Bingsu as I was so intrigued by its popularity, as repeatedly talked about by my previous officemates, who were lovers of anything Korean.

We ordered two kinds, but unfortunately I forgot to take note of the names.  But I hope these were the bestsellers since I am most of the time heading for the bestsellers once it is my /our first time dining in a restaurant, fast-food chains or any eateries.

Cafe Chronicles: SLT Cafe

A cafe inside a supermarket? A clever idea!

Yes, Sweet Little Things Cafe, more known as SLT Cafe has one of its branches situated inside a grocery store.  This particular branch of SLT Cafe is located at the Ground Floor, Fooda Saversmart, F. Cabahug Street, Mabolo, Cebu City.

And these were the goodies that we ordered:

Brownie Ala Mode  My rating: 8 of 10

Blue Berry Crumble Cupcake My rating: 6 of 10

Frost Coffee Mocha My rating: 7 of 10

My overall rating: food + ambiance + service + value for money = 6.5 of 10.
The sweets are okey (meaning, they tasted "just right" / "so-so")  but the ambiance is not as comfy compared to those typical cafes.
