What / Where I Ate - Bigby's

HISTORY OF BIGBY'S

The Bigby’s Café Concept was first introduced in the city of Cagayan de Oro on December 8, 1998. Its creators came up with an idea of creating an atmosphere fit for an adventure into the different cuisines of the world. The menu, the interior design and service style were created to position the concept midway between fine dining and fast-casual dining. This format has developed into the Bigby’s Café and Restaurant System

After hours of malling at SM City Cebu, I brought my family to Bigby's for dinner and here's what we ordered.

The starter - BLOSSOMING SPINACH DIP
It is a sheesy-gooey spinach dip served with Melba toast for Php 199.00

This appetizer is indeed a taste teaser, the family loved the spinach dip, we tasted perfection in every swallow.
My rating (family's rating as well) is 10 of 10!  Kudos to the brain of this recipe, to the Chef behind this dish, well-done!

The salad - ZEN HIGH SALAD
It is a fresh garden greens with ripe mango, cucumber, tomato, egg, Japanese crabsticks and crispy prawn friters in a nutty Japanese dressing.  Costs Php 299.00 can be shared for 2-3 persons
My rating for this salad is 6 of 10.

This dish was a limited edition since it was Christmas season when we dined there at Bigby's.
They named this as SANTA'S SLIDERS
The platter consists of 3 mini burgers stacked with yummy pineapple ham slices.  It is served with sweet potato chips and a fruit and nut salad in cranberry dressing. One order costs PHp 280.00
My rating is 7 of 10.

From Mom's Corner menu - PASSION FISH
It is a parmesan breaded fish fillet served with garlic mayo and choice of fries, for 3 fishes, one serving costs PHp 220.00
My rating is 7 of 10.

From the Family Platter menu - BELLY BUSTER
This main course is the ultimate combo of Bigby's famous barbequed babyback ribs, grilled rodeo chops and smoky pork belly,  Served in one heaping platter with garlic rice, buttered vegetables and crispy onion rings.  One platter costs Php 599.00
My rating is 8 of 10

A bottle of cold water and bottomless lemonade completed the meal.
One glass of bottomless lemonade costs Php 85.00 My rating for the lemonade is 4 of 10.

My overall restaurant rating: food (taste & serving) + ambiance + service = 7 of 10

This particular branch of Bigby's is located at the ground level of the North Wing, SM City Cebu.
