A unique name for a dining establishment is always something to be curious about. CHOOBI CHOOBI? What does it mean? Who cares what it really means?
I Do!
I activated my research skills and headed on to the world wide web and gathered major facts about them from their official website. And the number one question in my mind was directly answered by the first paragraph of their "About Us" page.

I activated my research skills and headed on to the world wide web and gathered major facts about them from their official website. And the number one question in my mind was directly answered by the first paragraph of their "About Us" page.
"Choobi Choobi is a family-oriented casual dining restaurant. Despite its Korean sounding name, Choobi Choobi’s menu courses are mostly Filipino Comfort Food. Choobi Choobi is derived from a Fookien word which means “to enjoy” that’s how our tag line “Lingaw lingaw Kaon!” originated."
What amazes me more is that CHOOBI CHOOBI is a Cebuano's pride! Having its first branch opened at the Park Mall in Mandaue City, Cebu on 2013; this true-blue "bisdak" restaurant has spread its wings in triumph and successfully branched out across the Visayas region and have even reached as far as Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao and Metro Manila in Luzon.
As a food blogger, I am always on the lookout for what's new in town, food establishments in particular. But it took me four years after its grand opening in Cebu to discover what's in store for a foodie like me and enjoy a hearty meal from their branch at Robinson's Galleria. "Better late, than never", as they say.
Let us proceed now to the foods that we ordered.
We tried one dish from their soups, one appetizer, one vegetable and their cream of the crop dish: shrimps! for the main dish. We also ordered two their best-seller desserts!

Since this restaurant claimed to have grown their own shrimps and further claims to have the freshest and cheapest shrimps in town, and we ordered for their new, best-seller SHRIMP recipe!
Main Dish:
STAN'S BLACK PEPPER SHRIMP, version 2.0
Food Details:
Shrimps cooked in Singaporean style with loads of black pepper!
Food Taste Comment and other Comments:
Honestly, expectations not met.
Shrimps were somewhat overcooked as it was too arduous to de-shell it.
(f.y.i. I don't use my bare hands to peel the shell, hence, I ate less meat)
