Food Quest: The Search for the Hottest Instant Noodles (made in Asia) from the Supermarkets in Cebu City

I am starting a new series of post which I am collectively calling it as FOOD QUEST.
The title is obvious.  I am to share the discoveries I made for a certain category of food that I am sprucing up and evaluating.

FOOD QUEST  1
The Search for the Hottest Instant Noodles (within Asia) from the Local Supermarkets in Cebu City

Let me discuss to you a brief history of the Instant Noodles.
Instant noodles were invented by Momofuku Ando and first marketed in Japan in 1958.[8] According to Ando's method, a bundle of fresh noodles is flash-fried, which dries them out and provides for a long shelf life. (www.wikipedia.com)

The first in my list is coming from the PHILIPPINES, of course, it's my country.  LUCKY ME! is the most famous brand of instant noodles nowadays which is manufactured by Monde Nissin Company.  Lucky Me! is the undisputed no. 1 instant noodle brand in the Philippines with a wide array of innovative and flavorful noodle varieties.

The Spicy Labuyo series comes in 3 flavors: Chicken, Pork, Beef is the new addition to their array of noodle flavors.  But honestly, I am dissatisfied with the level of spiciness, because it did not meet my expectations.

Another brand of instant noodles from the Philippines is QUICKCHOW.  They also have hot and spicy Chicken and BEEF flavors!

Spicy instant noodles from MALAYSIA coming from the famous brand MAGGI

Spicy instant noodles from SOUTH KOREA.

Another spicy instant noodles from SOUTH KOREA.

Spicy instant noodles still from SOUTH KOREA.

Neoguri

Meal Noodle (NET WT 4.2 oz.120g)

Nongshim’s Neoguri made its debut in 1982 and gained popularity for its thick Udon-style noodles and distinct spicy seafood flavor. Many years have passed since then, but Neoguri continues to be made with real seafood ingredients, and remains one of the most popular of Nongshim products.

Another spicy instant noodles from South Korea is SOGOKIMYUN, a ramen with a beef flavor.

Two more brands of spicy hot instant noodles from South Korea.  No English names though.

And a brand of hot instant noodles from my favorite country, Thailand: MAMA

Another set of instant noodles from the Philippines:

The Philippine noodle manufacturers have also developed Korean-type of instant mami.  Nissin has made NISSIN RAMEN - a spicy seafood flavored instant noodles.

And another one from LUCKY ME! is one flavor to match to the many Korean noodles sprouting in the supermarkets all over metro Cebu.

This flavor is among the "premium/special" variants of Lucky Me! - it's JJAMPONG.  My rating for the spiciness and the overall taste of Jjampong is 7 of 10.

Hope you enjoy my list.
Do try them out for you to evaluate which brand has the "hottest" / "spiciest" taste.

Eat good food, everyday!
